| December | Don't have a PIN (Personal Identification Number) for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)? Then obtain one at the U.S. Department of Education PIN web site. |
| December | Collect family tax information and file your taxes as soon as possible. UST's priority deadline for financial aid is April 1. Be sure to file your FAFSA by this date. |

| January | After January 1, or as soon as you file your Federal Taxes, you should file your FAFSA electronically. The FAFSA school code for St. Thomas is 002345. |
| January | Be wary of web sites or services that charge a fee for financial aid. Filing the FAFSA is free. January-term classes begin on Monday, Jan 3. |
| January | Martin Luther King Jr. Day is January 17; no classes. |

| March | Want to live on-campus? The Office of Undergraduate Admissions offers residence hall tours on Mondays through Thursdays in the spring. |

| April | Notify in writing the schools you will not be attending. |

| May | Hold on to your course syllabi in case we need them to evaluate your course work. |
| May | If you haven’t already done so, complete your confirming and housing deposits and paperwork. St. Thomas requires a $200 deposit to reserve a space in the class and a $200 deposit to reserve a space in a residence hall. Housing availability is not guaranteed and is based on the date we receive your housing deposit. These deposits are refundable if requested in writing by August 1. |
